OK, anyone else gasp at the two revelations at the end of the episode? SQUEE!!!

Belle is alive!! (not me, the OTHER Belle locked in the hospital basement)

Rumplestiltskin/Gold is aware of his past!!

I didn't gasp, because I sort of figured both things would go that way.

I've always had the idea that Rumple/Gold was aware of what's going on (and the past). And, knowing how mean that woman can be, I figured Belle wasn't dead and was going to pop up somewhere.

yeah...but I still squeed. makes all the "please" business more interesting since he is aware of the deal. if it had been accidental it wouldn't be as effective to me :)

so both "evil" characters have knowledge of the past life...it's an interesting dynamic to have multiple evil characters in a story instead of one "big bad" :)

Gold also called her "Queen" and she didn't flinch so obviously they have both had the knowledge the whole time. This is backed by her asking what his name was "in other places". But then, why didn't she know who he was without asking?

I thought the whole Rmpestiltskin tale was that nobody knew his name but once the heroine of the tale learned his name he lost all his power.

Any way, really good episode tonite and I wonder if Belle is going to become a bigger part of the story.

OK, now that we know that Rumple/Gold "knows", the next big question is whether he has made the connection between Snow's baby being named Emma and the now-grown Emma...

thinking a few days after watching -- now I may have to go back and re-watch the entire series to see how this changes my view of things (which it will!)

I think he knows about Emma, but not about Belle. He wants to stay in this world because he has more power, so I dont think he is going to help Emma out too much.. But when he finds out Belle is still alive, I bet he will.
